Ultimate Speed uses the High Speed Treadmill, Pro Multi-Hip machine, Plyo Press and
Pro Implosion machine. This science-based, proprietary equipment is
designed to train our athletes to greater speed, power, agility and
overall performance.
When using the High Speed Treadmill, you’ll notice that the motor is
positioned below the belt, so it doesn’t interfere with your view of
your feet in motion. This provides instant visual feedback of your
running form. You and your trainer can see what your feet are doing,
how they’re landing and taking off. The High Speed Treadmill allows for
manipulation of the two most important components of running speed,
stride length and stride frequency. The High Speed Treadmill has the
mechanical ability to adjust both speed (1mph to 28mph) and
elevation (0° to 40°), while providing consistent belt velocity for
the imitation of "land" running on a cushioned landing surface.
The Pro Multi-Hip machine improves the strength of
key muscles of the abdominals and hips, important but
often-overlooked muscles that are essential for improved sports
performance.
It accommodates athletes from 5-foot to 7-foot tall,
and resistance can be set from less than 15 pounds for lateral
movement patterns, to 375 pounds for dynamic power movements.
The Plyo Press allows you to
train for explosive power below and above body weight, using an
exclusive loading pattern that minimizes stress on your joints and
back while maximizing explosive performance. You safely build leg
strength and speed.
The Pro Implosion machine trains the upper body in
natural, curvilinear paths of motion that better simulate the
striking and press motions of sport.
Our programs are based on the
research of how the body responds to training stress—neurologically,
metabolically and biomechanically—so that you can become a more
efficient athlete with a reduced risk of injury.
Just one Acceleration Training program, comprised
of 22 – 26 sessions spread over six to eight weeks, provides
measurable improvement in sprint speed, multi-directional speed for
faster mid-field or mid-court cuts, explosive power, dynamic
stability and active recovery. Our trained athletes are able to play
at game speed for a longer time than other athletes.
The High Speed Treadmill improves an athlete's running mechanics—knee drive, foot
and hip position, leg extension and symmetry. Scientific research shows that incline treadmill running recruits
the muscles responsible for forward acceleration at a level two to
three times higher than level running at the same stride frequency,
which helps you produce more power during each stride, during both
push-off and recovery. We know how to test the capacity of your key
muscle groups and how that affects your speed and power. And we take
you safely just beyond your limits to improve your over-ground
speed.
In our optimal training environment—a potent
combination of our equipment coupled with properly placed mirrors,
video feedback and our qualified trainers—you’ll find that you
quickly progress beyond all your preconceived notions about your
abilities and limitations. Individualized training administered in
small groups of four to six athletes fosters a personal program with
competitive support.
The qualified staff of Ultimate Speed, Inc. offers
the latest speed-specific and sport-specific training applications
to athletes (novice, amateur, professional) of all ages and all
sports.
